At a ceremony December 9, CURE presented awards to two biotechnology pioneers who are on the forefront nationally of regenerative medicine.

Cato T. Laurencin, M.D., Ph.D. of the University of Connecticut received the 2014 CURE Academic Entrepreneur of the Year award and Joseph W. Reilly, MBA of Soft Tissue Regeneration received the 2014 CURE Business Entrepreneur of the Year award.

By these awards, CURE recognizes the progress and success of Soft Tissue Regeneration, a medical device company headquartered in New Haven that is focused on the application of resorbable polymer scaffold technology suitable for treatment of tendon, ligament, and other soft tissue injuries.
