The world’s bioscience leaders are focused on San Francisco this week as host of the 2016 Bio International, and Connecticut has a significant contingent at the convention making a case for the state becoming a bigger player in the industry.

“The whole (international and domestic bioscience) ecosystem is here,” Susan Froshauer, president and chief executive officer of CURE, said Monday during a phone interview with The New Haven Register.

A Connecticut reception was attended by more than 100 business leaders, leading researchers, and investors.
