Leaders from southeastern Connecticut met recently to discuss attracting high-growth companies to the region. They hope to leverage state seed money to develop a master plan for the region.

“What we want to do is put hotspots on the map in Connecticut that people will decide to live in … or build their business in,” said Susan Froshauer, chief executive of Connecticut United for Research Excellence, the bioscience network that runs the CURE Commons incubator space in Groton.
